About Carbon Check 

Carbon Check (India) Private Limited is an internationally renowned certification body committed to excellence in the delivery of impartial and competent third-party assurance services covering validation, verification, and certification of climate change projects across the world with special focus on Africa and Latin America. CCIPL is accredited, certified, or recognized, as applicable, by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard Foundation (GS), Social Carbon, Climate Community and Biodiversity (CCB), Global Carbon Council (GCC) and SD Vista for providing verification and validation services in each respective regime. Carbon Check is involved in validating project proposals or verifying whether implemented projects have achieved planned greenhouse gas emission reductions. It manages and conducts verification and validation audits of greenhouse gas emission reduction projects.

Responsibilities: 

Quality Reviews: 

• Conduct thorough quality reviews as per the CCIPL procedure to ensure compliance with established standards. 
• Verify the quality of project folders at various stages, including upon signing of contracts, continuously during project execution, and prior to UNFCCC upload or client submission for GS, VCS, SD Vista, CCS, GCC, Plan Vivo. 

Documentation Management: 

• Keep project folders up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle. 
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation at the time of UNFCCC upload or client submission for various accreditation processes (GS, VCS, SD Vista, CCS, GCC, Plan Vivo). 

     UNFCCC Uploads: 

• Manage the UNFCCC upload process, both initial submissions and follow-ups. 
• Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted in accordance with UNFCCC guidelines. 

Communication and Feedback: 

• Update the team and clients on recent developments for each project. 
• Handle feedback received from CDM, GS, VCS, SD Vista, CCS, GCC, Plan Vivo, and communicate relevant information to the team and clients. 

Project Status Updates: 

• Provide regular project status updates. 
• Coordinate and arrange team review meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and potential improvements. 

Support for QMS: 

• Collaborate with the Quality Management (QM) team to support any work related to the Quality Management System (QMS) as identified at any given point in time. 

Educational Qualification and Experience:  

• Bachelor's/Master's in environmental science or related field. 
• Experience in project coordination, particularly in climate change programs. 
• Familiarity with CDM, GS, VCS, SD Vista, CCS, GCC, and Plan Vivo standards. 
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining documentation accuracy. 
• Proactive in providing updates and addressing project-related feedback. 
• Ability to facilitate effective communication among team members and clients.
